Okay I've been a huge procrastinator. I need a really terrific bridal shower gift (and eventually a wedding gift) but I need the bridal shower gift like yesterday. This is for an old friend that I haven't spent much time with in the last ten years, but she's wonderful and we still talk occasionally.
Please any suggestions are more than welcomed.

Thanks for the suggestion I did get her something from her registry for the wedding but the registry was very limited so for the shower I choose something I hope she really enjoys.

you don't want to get something from her registery? that's really exciting when you are first getting stuff. you could have a christmas ornament engraved from say tiffany's that says "tammy and mike's first christmas", a bottle of wine from the year they were born and a pair of glasses. since it sounds like you have known her a really long time maybe you could include a note in the card that talks about why the groom is a lucky guy and recall some of the wonderful, funny things about her from long ago.
